Bartlett Ranch West

Situated in historic Parker County Texas, the 1,100 acres that comprise Bartlett Ranch West was acquired in 1995. This picturesque landscape is a mixture of open coastal bermuda pasture dotted with the signature mesquite and oak trees that define the region. The nearby town of Weatherford is the birthplace of the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA), and the primary reason Dr. Bartlett and his late wife Kelley Bartlett were motivated to create a fulltime presence here. Immediately after obtaining this property Dr. & Mrs. Bartlett set about establishing an enviable collection of AQHA registered cutting horse mares and stallions. The fruits of this labor produced such great horses as Can You Handle It, Billies Short Lena, and Cool Little Feet, all with lifetime earnings in excess of $200,000, not to mention a favorite up-and-coming mare, Playguns Desire, with earnings that exceed $125,000. This property is special not only because it lies at the epicenter of the cutting horse world but also because it’s breeding program, homes, barns, and other facilities were conceived and designed by Mrs. Bartlett. She was a true architect of all things special and beautiful, with the Texas property a monument to her uncommon vision and creativity.
